{"id":119,"date":"2009-10-18T06:11:20","date_gmt":"2009-10-18T05:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/?p=119"},"modified":"2013-03-07T14:26:13","modified_gmt":"2013-03-07T14:26:13","slug":"watching-amy-grow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/?p=119","title":{"rendered":"Watching Amy grow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve lived away from home for years&#8230;..I usually visit \u00a0in January for around a month, always with a new venture in mind\u00a0but carrying\u00a0the sadness of knowing I will be leaving soon once again.\u00a0 This time is always short, squeezing in time with family and friends but even more so in January 2008&#8230;&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>I was in Egypt, sat in my hotel room when I recieved a text message on 7th January &#8220;Hi. Emma had a baby girl, Amy-Beth 7lbs 13oz, mother and baby are fine&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 I was an aunty!\u00a0 I could not wait to get home.\u00a0 When I held her in my arms she looked so new, tiny little features, and seeing my sister with her own little baby girl, amazing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It will soon be January 2010 and Amy-Beth will be two years old, I&#8217;ve missed so much of seeing her grow and now she&#8217;s a little girl.\u00a0 I\u00a0 managed \u00a0to visit home and capture a few precious\u00a0moments with her, each time seeing changes, beginning to bond\u00a0and knowing that next time I visited she would not remember me.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently the whole family visited&#8230;.it makes you rethink a few things.\u00a0 She called me &#8220;aunty Sarah&#8221; in her sweet little voice and ,oh my god, I can not describe how that makes me feel, it&#8217;s pretty special.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few of my memories since she was born<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/big_189W11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-224\" title=\"Amy Beth stages\" src=\"http:\/\/sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/big_189W11.jpg\" alt=\"Amy Beth stages\" width=\"333\" height=\"915\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/big_189W11.jpg 333w, http:\/\/www.sarahkirkphotography.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/big_189W11-109x300.jpg 109w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Portraits are important<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 I&#8217;ve lived away from home for years&#8230;..I usually visit \u00a0in January for around a month, always with a new venture in mind\u00a0but carrying\u00a0the sadness of knowing I will be leaving soon once again.\u00a0 This time is always short, squeezing in time with family and friends but even more so in January 2008&#8230;&#8230;.
